By car
A car is quite an expensive and time-consuming form of commuting. Nevertheless, it is profitable for longer stays, especially when we plan to visit many places.
Taking into account that we will leave central Poland, we have to cover a distance of approximately 3,000 km. We recommend traveling for two days with an overnight stay, e.g. near Lyon in France. We can easily find accommodation on the Internet by entering “accommodation”, or “hotel” and the name of the city where we want to stay overnight in the search engine. Of course, you can cover the distance within 24-27 hours of continuous driving, this can be done if there are two drivers.
The costs of fuel and hotel should include the costs of traveling on toll motorways, which will amount to approximately EUR 120 one way.
When refueling in France, we must know that most gas stations on motorways operate on a prepaid basis – you need to buy a fuel card and then refuel, which is not necessarily good for people who are just passing through. If we want to avoid refueling at such a station, we must remember to always refuel when there are stations on our way where we pay only after refueling the vehicle, as is the case in Poland. It’s a good idea to pre-load all company stations, such as Shell and BP, to your navigation – this will help you avoid problems on the route.
The advantage of driving may be the ability to visit monuments along the way and take more luggage. Please remember that low-cost airlines have a clearly defined maximum of 15 kg in terms of size and weight of luggage, and hand luggage must fit within the strictly defined volume limits.
By plane
The fastest and cheapest way to get there is, of course, by plane. Ryanair airlines fly to Alicante from Krakow, Wrocław, Warsaw Modlin, Poznań and Gdańsk, Wizzair airlines – from Warsaw Chopin.
Ticket prices including all fees can be less than PLN 200 one way – depending on the date you choose. Of course, the cheapest time is off-season, when you can buy round-trip tickets for up to PLN 300.
Our properties are approximately 50 km from the airport in Alicante. We can get from the airport in three ways: by purchasing a transfer (transport by car) for EUR 50 / course, by taxi (approx. EUR 90) or by renting a car from us – the cost is agreed individually and in the case of renting a car from us – transfer from / to the airport is free of charge.
